I am a student at Hornby Primary School. I am a year 6 and my teacher is Mrs Thorp. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

super fun super sports
Hello everybody,
This week we are learning about writing with language features. We have learnt a lot of language features. We need to use them. So we decided to write recounts.
These are all the language features we have been learning in the past weeks:
- Onomatopoeia - ‘Bang’
- Metaphor - “You are the sun!’
- Personification “The clouds danced across the sky.”
- Hyperboles - “I was so embarrassed I would have stuck my head in the toilet to hide.”
- Alliteration - “It was time for super Sunday sports.”
- Dialogue - “Don’t move,” Ellenessa whispered.
So the first thing did was answer questions in our document: who, what, when, where, and how. The second thing did was find all the places we were going to use a language feature. The third thing we did was write our story. Here is what I did
Who?
- Coach
- Teammates
- Miss D
What?
- Winter sport
- Netball - Netballs going Bang - Feet going Thud
- We walk over with (miss D) and our team.
Why?
How?
Where?
It is time for winter sports. I call it the Super Fun Friday sports. We play against the other Schools in our Cluster. The sport I played is netball. The sports team I play for is the Hornby Primary School rubies.
Today we are playing, South Hornby School (aka S.H.S). Miss D isn't here today.
Here is a photo of me playing netball.
