My Animal Art

This week we've been doing art. Our artwork was the animal that inspired us.
The artist we were copying is Sheila Brown.

We started with our background. I chose a sunset. My first layer was red. I waited for it to dry.
My next layer is yellow I Accidentally mixed the paint too much and it turned orange.

Next I colored in my animal. My animal is Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon 1, 2 and 3.
I started with his eyes. I colored his eyes green. Then are colored his body black.
My mum showed me a technique when you rub with the side of your thumb your animal
gets more details. I added some white for detail.

I wrote why I'm inspired by dragons. I glued it all together onto a black background.
YAY! I’m finished.

I am sharing it here in my wonderful blog. I hope you enjoyed. if you want to see more project’s?

First of all your picture is fantastic. I love the background, and of course Toothless! You have then gone on to write a very detailed and interesting blog about the processes you went though. Ka pai tō mahi!
